SD News: Aquatics complex proposal gets new life at Liberty Station

The San Diego Community Newspaper Group published an article on May 9, 2017 discussing developments in the plan to build an Aquatics Complex in Liberty Station.  The article discusses the possibility of the San Diego Unified School District working with the City in a phased approach to rehab a building and get the pools built.

John Seymour, Chair of this Council, was quoted saying: “The land is there, the parking (for it) is amazing and it will be able to service an aquatics complex,” he said. “We're not talking about a single pool, but two or three pools, a concessions area, showers and lockers, and space for stand-up paddling, kayaking and rowing.”
